What a horrible little job boxing in is. That’s why you aren’t doing it isn’t it?
Messing about with annoying bits of MDF, thin bits of batten and lots of annoying corners. Having to cut everything in the garden then spend all day going up and down the stairs. Getting the fixings in is a nightmare, there are always tiles or pipes in the way or you have to drill a hole just 2” above the floor AND you do the whole job with your cheek caressing someone else’s toilet bowl.

Builders like to “up the price” for some jobs. This is one of them. But, because householders think that it’s a daft little job, they expect it to be done for nothing.

Anyway, I know I’ve never boxed any pipes in as a “one-off”, I always priced myself right out of the market.
