Information Sheet on the Cost of Fitting a Dado Rail

Dado rails are decorative waist-high mouldings round the walls of a room, they protect the wall from damage by chair backs and form a natural division between the anaglypta you can’t scrape off and the rest of the wall with the decoration you DO want! They are usually placed where the rising damp eventually stopped, that’s what anaglypta was originally for, hiding damp.
A good timber merchants will carry a couple of examples but if they don’t have a website, you may have to go there yourself. You, or your significant other can choose which one you want. Get the builder to collect them on the day though because they need to be long enough to span each wall without any joints. You won’t be able to get them in your A Class Mercedes or Smart Car.
