Information on Kitchen Under Cupboard/Pelmet Lighting

OK, you know you will be fitting low energy bulbs but what about the light itself. Do you want long ones or compact ones. Do you want low voltage? More importantly, where will the switch go and will each light have its own switch or will they all come on at the same time? Do you want dimmer switches, some lights can’t be dimmed.

Switches can be positioned next to the normal light switch or on the side of a wall cabinet or really inconveniently under the pelmet, so you have to grope around for them.
