Cost/Price to Paint Barge Boards

Prices

These prices are based on a tradesman’s rate of £150 per day and a labourer if required
at £100 per day. They include the cost of buying and collecting any materials, dumping any waste if necessary and any incidental materials they will need.

(The minimum price will usually be for a half day)


Job 1
Assuming its already painted, to give it another coat from a ladder, that’s a days work for 1 man plus the paint ……….£170.00


Job 2
Scrape down and prepare properly (including burning off where necessary, sanding filling etc.), prime and apply undercoat coat and gloss of decent paint (from a ladder)
This will take 1 man 1.5 days, ………£225, materials………£40.00, ……………£265.00

Job 3
The above from scaffolding, add an extra ……….£350.00

Now let’s get this right, by gable/barge boards we mean the triangular bits of timber at the top right?. Good!

If it’s just a quick “tosh” you want to spruce the place up a bit, then you might find a bloke who has nothing to live for who will do it from a ladder.

If you want it prepared and stabilised and two coated, he might remember he has a wife and kids and get all soft on you and want it scaffolded first!
