How Much Does It Cost To Fit Bathroom Taps?
You’re buying the taps..
These prices are based on a plumber’s rate of £200 per day and a labourer if required at £100 per day. They include the cost of buying and collecting any materials, dumping any waste if necessary and any incidental materials they will need.
(The minimum price will usually be for a half day)
An easily removed and replaced panel, (not one that he has to destroy to get it off) and taps are at the open end of the bath. Half a day………£110.00
To get another bloke on to rebuild a bath panel that wasn't so easy to remove…………£200.00
If the taps are at the wall end and he can’t get the furthest one out, he will have to remove the bath, do the job then put it back This is bound to mean a bit of tiling as well! Call it a day and a half………£350.00
Ah ha! I knew you’d start to hate those gold effect things eventually. It only took 15 years but I was right! Or is it because the tops wobble and won’t quite turn off properly? Whatever, they’re going, and good riddance!
Is there a little hatch, or a nice easy to remove bath panel? Let’s hope so, or it’s going to cost. It may get expensive anyway if the taps are against the wall and have been there a while, (15 years is a while by the way).
